appropriate behaviour

Shirin is a self-involved narcissist going through one heck of a break up and emotional meltdown. This is an always passionate, sometimes disjointed, darkly funny, unique ride through the life of somebody we initially don't care about very much, but as Shirin conquers her own identity crisis, we come to understand her, and start to become engaged with her despite ourselves.

buffy the vampire slayer

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was exceptional for the way it depicted so many otherworldly monsters, yet made us all understand that ultimately the hardest thing to face is humanity. Looked down on by critics and non-fantasy fans alike, Buffy reigned supreme for years as the most original, witty and strongest-written show on TV.

lapsia ja aikuisia (producing adults)

This is a dark comedy with elements of screwball, that towards the end becomes just that little bit serious to bring the love story to a satisfyingconclusion. It is a story for adults that shows adults acting like children, in that way we know we're all capable of in order to get our own way.

mosquita y mari

There's nothing monumental about this film, it doesn't try to make any grand statements. In fact, it feels rather like a nostalgic trip backwards with that glorious emotional naivety of childhood kept intact. There's something so intimate about the story, like somehow we're intruding upon a long-cherished memory.

monster

If the numerous re-enactments of her crimes are even halfway close to the truth, then there is little doubt Aileen Wuornos was indeed a monster. Even if, as she claims, her first kill was in self defence, her subsequent killing spree erases all pity we might have felt. That she did it all for love, or the lack of it as this film suggests, is just appalling, and there's no excuse. Thankfully it is never offered as one.
